Do dog owners know the 3 steps that makes a healthier, happier dog feel GREAT?

PinExt Do dog owners know the 3 steps that makes a healthier, happier dog feel GREAT?

If you have been reading for some time my blog I'm about pets and lots of dogs I have owned.  I know not everyone loves dogs like I do. Still if you have one I believe they deserve to be healthy, happy and feel great. Here are 3 steps that can help your dog:

1. Become a label reader or food maker

Aim to create the dog's meals rather than buy things out of the package, dry and only some some nutrition.  I prepare my dog's food. It takes about 2 minutes and she gets her supplements, meat, fish and veggies walking away with a full tummy.  She mainly gets raw foods, but I do cook a little only.  Buy based on nutritional value. If you need help making your own dog food, search google for words such as "making homemade dog food" or "BARF" diet.  BARF is mainly raw and today I am doing a combo and not just 100% raw.

2.  Exercise

How about taking yourself on a walk and have your dog accompany you?  I'm sure you will both be happy and come home energized.

3. Touch

Dogs and other pets appreciate sweet words and a touch which I call petting and hugging.  They love it and makes you too feel so good when you see the pet smiling. Here's a video to enjoy as many others have:

Cheers, till we chat again, Carol Giambri, your adopted pet and dog lover!

Thanks so much Rusty for sharing here. I have many useful dog posts as I am a 100% dog lover and have one again health challenged. We never quit on giving her the best attention and love as well besides her holistic vet. Feel free to do a shout out on your blog, twitter and facebook so we can together help dogs and their owners. On a mission…including gardening I blog about too….simple healthy living is living without chaos.
