Using time wisely
By · CommentsToday we are talking about time. How are you using your time? Wasting it or using it to help others or even your self. Here’s a short video, about 2 minutes that may shed some insight into the world of “time.”
I am mainly writing for that special women 50ish and above but whatever age you are I hope it is beneficial.

Our dog
By · CommentsHere’s our 11 year old Australian Shep. What makes her special are many things, but briefly she is 11 and the original vet, or call him vet 2 gave me no hope for her recent LUPUS diagnosis. I told him I don’t care what the reports show, but confirmation only. I asked him if he ever heard of a dog recovered from LUPUS and he and other vets said no. I said well with my small faith like a mustard seed, I believe she will be the first time. Before she recovered I had changed vets, but did go back and have his receptionist pass on my great news.
A book will be forthcoming as a tribute to all dogs who are deceased who may have lived longer hearing the right voice. No judgment here but for future dogs you may own, listen to your heart is my message. Even in business and relationships this great story can be told! Tune in for upcoming doggie website that will include dog products as well.
Enjoy your special dog. No dog deserves to be a throw away and if vicious then we are taking about safety and perhaps training.
Cheers,
Carol Giambri

Smiling through storms
By · CommentsStorms of life happen to all people. Sometimes they happen whether planned or not.
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”
— Author Unknown
How are you responding through your storms.
Here’s some words I would love to share with you today. Hope they inspire to looking at life through different lens when they happen.
The choose is yours of how you respond.
Leaving a legacy – remembered by your past
By · CommentsOh, before I forget. Have you gotten my free report on giving. See the gold box and be added to my mailing, not spam list, too. Share me with others. Looking to get a tribe of women 50ish, mid 50 an above banning together–celebrating life–second by second and aging too! Half of our life may be over, but it’s built us up to move ahead stronger with decades behind us! Yeah!! Your BEST days are STILL ahead!
Today’s blog was prompted by my elementary schoolmate Chris Clarke. I am talking about decades ago even seeing him or the rest of elementary or high school kids I knew. Here’s what he wrote me today based on this website and probably my About video:
“”just happy go lucky— I saw your website and it was excellent- your voice sounds so good and you look like I remembered you- “
So as I reflect on these kind words, what kind of legacy are you being remembered by? I give his words high praise as I want to stand out from the crowd, not be boxed into any mindset that doesn’t enhance helping others and then myself. I want to make a difference in this world and not just settle back in my comfort zone, behind a computer, or in front of a television monitor. I don’t want to be talk and not action.
So where do you begin to leave a legacy? Here’s a few pointers I would consider:
1. Know what you love doing. If you love making fishing poles, perhaps this skill to others who are perhaps less fortunate to pay for the class, so offer it. It may be a way for them to supplement their income or even eating sources for finding fish. If you love writing, perhaps teach a writing class, write a book, speak to groups. If you are a good basketball player volunteer. If you have carpenter hands, give a helping hand to an organization such as Habitat for Humanity. Use your gifts and spread the word.
2. Live to enjoy life. Attitude plays an important role in everyday living. You can see the glass half full or empty. I see my glass half full whereas I know others who need to have the proof that the glass is half full so they see it half empty. It’s a mindset. How do you see life? Great, sucks or just okay
I think I am going to quit here as I feel like I gave lots of meat and potatoes to chew on but for me it would be a hearty salad with a flavorable vegan raw dressing.
Go out and reflect of how you want to be remembered today. Yesterday is “gone”, today is here and tomorrow may not arrive. When you reach your last breath it is over! Over–the end–gone–finished!!! No return!!
Words to chew on that I totally embrace by Jim Rohn, excerpted from “Twelfth Pillar of Success: Legacy, Part Two”
“Don’t ever stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Many people have accomplished tremendous things later on in life. There is never a time to stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Sometimes older people will say, “I am 65. I’ll never change.” That won’t build a great life! No, there is always time to do more and achieve more, to help more and serve more, to teach more and to learn more. Keep going and growing that legacy!”
Cheers, till we chat again soon.

Life doesn’t quit when sick
By · CommentsToday I am working on getting over this nasty flu. Hardly ever sick, but still life goes on, I am breathing, resting and knowing that I must be true to my audience, ladies here 50ish, mid or above, so I’m sharing a few words here to encourage you.
I look at the single mom or dad, today who has kids to care for and no help. Would they just give up and let the house run on it’s own? I think the single parent doesn’t take vacation when sick. So, why would I? I believe rest is important and I know I will be jumping back on my two feet soon. I am need wisdom and rest as my formula to staying in the game of life.
I may not be doing what I normally would be doing, but this is my down season I may call it, but not for long.
So concluding this post here, what can you do to keep staying in this game of live, breathing second by second to not quit on yourself. Others may depend on you as they may be me down the road.
I want to find ways to help women in this age range to be able to get or continue to smile with implants or teeth to be taken care of. If I quit I would feel I am not carrying out one of my goals here. I want to give to others who needing a helping hand, not a hand out.
How are you helping others? Does it take money to pay the dentist or vet bill? Yes. So money is important not just for paying the bills but to be able to help others.
Think about this:
I have cousin a few months older than me who needed assisted device for survival. It was about an oxygen tank married to her for months. I encouraged her and today I am proud to report only for a few months did she need that. She could have quit, but she didn’t. She back in the game of life. You hung in. Way to go Linda!
No to quitting, yes to living second by second aging.

Which diet today?
By · Comments
Are you being bombarded with which diet is best? Confused? I would be too. Everyone comes out with their latest and greatest literature to promote their diet. It seems like daily we find a new diet for today! So where do you start?
Here are some points to consider:
What kind of foods do you like?
How much time you have to spend in the kitchen?
Are you eating for pleasure or feeling better (or healthier)?
Those are some questions I looked at when I made changes over thirty years ago.
I came from a meat and potato background. I ate tons of this growing up. Some veggies. I had a bottomless pit growing up. I switched gears and replaced the meat and potatoes with fresh fruit and veggies. You may say yuck. Well in that case let me share my LOVE picture below.
Didn’t want to mess with the pictures here so just want you to get the LOVE message and do the diet that you love doing or want to try out. I want to eat mainly from The Garden so my diet is mainly fruits and veggies. Yours can be your choice.
Let me share a quick and simple recipe idea that will take you seconds in the kitchen or from your garden or your grocery garden:
Carol’s Snappy Salad
Green salad greens (such as romaine, spinach, butternut)
Fresh tomatoes
Grated carrots or sweet potatoes
Green onions
Cucumbers (fancy sliced-ripply if possible or however you wish)
Pinch of salt (I buy Real Salt – Health Food store)
Mix all together. Whatever you have works. Can mix and match.
Carol’s Dressing:
Fresh strawberries, blended
Now add that to:
Olive oil
Fresh chopped up garlic
Blend all together if wish, but not necessary. Let each pour dressing over their own salad.
(Sorry no salad pictures here as I am off to store to buy my ingredients too).
Does the above pictures give you the sense of sweet love in a diet? So call it another fad or diet and it’s my Love Diet-cause I named it and claimed it.
Enjoy!

Add comment and will consider. With any of my recipes you can always add meat, dairy or other products too.
I’m about fast, simple, delish from the kitchen in and out fast without dirty or greasy clean up.
Oh, please ask permission before “borrowing” something from this website as I recently had some content distributed without credit or asking. It’s about copywriting laws. Thanks.
Cheers to your health and recipe collection,

Health is wealth
By · CommentsI am writing to you reflecting of my own experiences. You may have other beliefs, but I am not about to judge your opinion, but share mine here.
I do believe that if you are good or great health you are blessed to save money and feel wealthy. If you are spending all your hard earned or money you saved on sickness and medicines it can bankrupt you. From what I see I believe many people are over medicated. I am not a medical practitioner here so I am not giving out advise but things to help you see perhaps your buying power a little differently.
Let me give you my husband’s story. He was diagnosed with epilepsy over 30 years ago. It didn’t run in the family. It happened one night and diagnosed in the hospital for that sudden occurrence. I was health oriented at this point so drugs was something he took out of emergency while I checked things out. For 10 days he did drugs, per his doctor’s orders, but then my search showed there were other alternative options.
In six weeks he got all better and has remained that way since.
So I believe we were wealthy in our decision to go an alternative route for us. I can’t say for you the route, but for us it worked.
Can drugs make you feel, old, look tired and more? Many do have side effects they say so do an online search of what that is. I can’t speak on that behalf if it makes you look old either, but you figure it out.
In my search I discovered this website: http://www.drlam.com/aboutme.asp.
I have not used his services but I do have a question and may just check him out.
How about taking your health challenge, looking up alternative treatment for whatever it is and see if there are natural supplements or fruits and veggies that can help you. Of course check with your medical practitioner always. They have the medical degree and I don’t.
May your great health make you feel like a million bucks as you age!
Toasting to your great health with a carrot, celery, beet drink my juicer makes. In USA I can have new ones shipped to you.
Best way to contact me is being on twitter: CarolGiambri
Enjoy great health or if not the case perhaps considering some alternatives may be something to explore. No endorsements here, but the way I saw hubby healed.
Cheers,
Carol Giambri
Passive aggressive words sting with wrong message
By · CommentsAs some of you followers realize I write a lot based on emotions and today got triggered to share this.
Here’s a video of an incident that happened today that stung me not only in the pocketbook but gave me the opportunity to reflect on how people see things differently — sometimes unintentionally. When I am referring to passive aggressive words I am referring to something like this. Saying to some “great job” and then you fire them. Ouch!
Cheers till we chat again.
