Is your life leaking, roof, ceiling or other circumstances caving in? Just believe!

Wasn’t ready to write so quickly, but here came another post due to tonight’s “flood.”

Are you wondering what happens when your whole world seems like it is leaking or caving in? What would you do?  Cry, scream, grow angry or just laugh and know new beginnings are happening?

Tonight I experienced a leak that could change directions tomorrow in my bedroom tomorrow.  My hubby is in place, not leaving for any reason, but my roof decided it was time to “take a leak.”  The bed is flooded, the mattress drenched, the wood floor wet and the ceiling is damaged.  All this needing immediate attention as well.

What would you do if you life changed suddenly in minutes, days, weeks, months or years?   Things happen and for me I grabbed a towel, wiped up the wood floor, snapped pictures of the wetness and wrote insurance company.  I ran to twitter about it too.

Where will I sleep tonight?  I’m going to be camping out on my wood floor that has a yoga mat waiting for me in the living room.  What else can I say, but things happen sometimes beyond our control.

The sad thing is a few months back we had an insurance claim and had adjuster out who didn’t see reason to replace the roof. I wonder what he’s thinking now when he sees the ceiling, the roof, etc.  Will it be more costly to his company?

Oh, to top it off, our spare bed and bedroom is taken over by my pregnant daughter and hubby who are visiting for a few more days.  I am headed to the floor in a few minutes. My hubby is sound asleep already.

Is it true where there is breath there is life and where there is life there is reason to find excuses to laugh at challenges? Not all challenges are funny at the time, but still sooner or later they can become that way.

How about this quote to close out this post?

“We cannot choose our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them.” Epictetus

So what’s leaking in your life and can it be fixed? Does it feel like he room is caving in? All things are possible to those who believe.  “Just Believe” is one way and phrase David Neagle is known for.  I agree!

Cheers till we share again,

Hi Alex, Thanks for your comment and reading. I hope it was of great value or at least something to ponder. Still waiting on my leaky roof adjuster to show up. Insurance companies always want my money fast, and I give it. They are however here slow and slammed with all their insurance requests to move fast. But last adjuster was UNfair with his money disbursement and conclusion which could have avoided my latest problem: leaky roof, messed up bedroom ceiling, etc.
