What does it feel like when your dog throws you a Surprise Party?

PinExt What does it feel like when your dog throws you a Surprise Party?

When you think of party, you probably think of fun, laughter, music and food!  Sometimes there is a surprise thrown in. If there's a dog in the bunch, then there can be a surprise party. Dogs are amazing. With over 40 years of owning dogs, all rejected from others, loved by my husband and myself, I feel I can share a thing or two.

When I am talking about surprise party here I am talking about surprises the dog did that make you laugh or even cry.  For example, that cute puppy grabs your remote control and hides it when you are ready to watch your favorite show.  Or, the dog that hid your shoe and you are ready to leave the house?  Or your keys that disappeared from the counter?  What ever surprise party your dog throws creates a feeling. So how are you responding to that surprise? Laughing, kicking the dog, throwing him outside. Perhaps did you ever think that the dog thought was party time when you left your stuff around instead of putting them away?  Another words, out of reach from the playful dog that was just creating a fun second, minute or hour.  I'm sure the dog didn't have intentions to think anything to upset your day.

How do you feel when this dog throws you a surprise party? You can choose how you would respond to this or any other situation. I am giving you only examples to trigger you to reflect how you respond to even you throwing your own surprise party.  To me, misplacing my keys is not a fun party, but a scramble and waste of time hunting for them.  Wouldn't it be easier to just put them in the right place if there is such a thing? For me, it's a journey throwing my own party and then when I find it laughing inwardly.  I hear that voice rise up inside saying "if you put it in the right place, you would have found it fast. Simple as it may sound, not always the way I think. Do dogs think further than fun, party and play with my owner? Just sharing the love of dogs here and hope it encourages you all to perhaps turn the table over and throw a surprise party for your dog soon!

Ever heard this saying: "Dogs are people too". If so they are subject to not be perfect. Or, "A dog will quickly turn you into a fool, but who cares? Better your dog than your boss. I'm a fool for my dog and proud of it." Isn't this the way it is, or should be owning a dog or another pet: "We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made." –M. Facklam

Doesn't this picture show the look of an innocent face lovable dog? She's mine.

Do not know how high the sky is until one climbs up the tops of passels , and do not know how thick the ground is until one comes to the deep river. There is but one success — to be able to spend your liveliness in your ain way.
