Why Eat Healthy Avocados?

Can the avocado be rich in good fats, creamy, used in salads, dressings or on a sandwich and be good for your hair, eyes and cancer protection? Yes, you betcha. I love them. I am here to share with you some fast ways to include avocados in your diet. Where's the avocado picture? Oops. Maybe another time. But haven't seen their at Farmer's Market ever in Colorado.

Selecting an avocado…
If you are looking to eat it right now then a soft one is great. Feel it. Sometimes I even buy some that are so soft, I call ripe, that if you give it a little finger pressure it will crack one and ooze out. This is okay too. But you want to use it up fast.
WARNING—Don't store in freezer as it dies. Okay, what should I do with my 15 organic soft ones I bought the other day? Tune in as mine are all frozen now or really 13 area.
TIP: ripen avocados in paper bag or foil. Live and learn. There are so many tricks and tips that I still don't know but when I hear them you my fans will be the first to know it or them.
The color inside…..
It just means it is ripe and I have loved eating the inside. Just make sure there is no mold showing up.. If mold cut it out and eat the black spots or pieces inside the avocado. Never got sick from eating any very ripe ones that area black.
Yellow is the most common color inside.
Green inside has been my experience of not ripe.
Benefits and Uses of Avocados…
Benefit 1. Beauty - Hair conditioner recipe
*Mix 1 avocado and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil & 1 egg yolk mashed together. Apply to wet or damp hair. Keep on 20-30 minutes. Massage into scalp. Rinse well with warm water. See the shine and feel the soft hair.
Benefit 1. Cancer – For prostrate and cancer avocados have been known to help with protection. Of course consult your doctor first.
Benefit 3. Eye Health – contains more carotenoid lutein than other fruits which helps protect against cataracts and macular degeneration diseases.
